13. player. 59. . EDGE. Miami Dolphins. Brian Burns

The Miami Dolphins are picking 13th, but they have the roster of a team that would normally be leading things off. Miami is clearly in the midst of tanking, and so this is going to be a long, painful rebuild. General Manager Chris Grier should be taking the best player available, and Brian Burns fits that mold.

Burns has been rising up the draft boards over the past two months, and should be an early first-round choice. If he gets past the Bengals and Packers, it would be tough for Miami to pass on him. Burns totaled 29 sacks over the last two years at Florida State.

DE. Atlanta Falcons. Montez Sweat. 14. player. 44.

We’ve officially seen the start of a run on edge rushers. For the third time in as many picks, a team is trying to get some help with its pass rush. With Brian Burns and Clelin Ferrell off the board, the Falcons luck out with Montez Sweat. One of the best seniors in the country a year ago, Sweat was dominant in the SEC.

As a member of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Sweat amassed 12 sacks in 2018, coming off a 10.5-sack year in 2017. Atlanta needs help getting to the quarterback with Vic Beasley Jr. looking like a bust, and Sweat fits that bill.
