In the No. 6 spot is the most electrifying man in all entertainment, The People’s Champion, The Rock, now mostly known to a majority of the world know as Dwayne Johnson. But before he electrified Hollywood, The Rock electrified the millions … and millions … of the WWE Universe.
The 10-time World Heavyweight Champion made his WWE in-ring debut in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, in 1996 at Survivor Series. Going by the ring name Rocky Maivia, some would be surprised to note that he was not immediately embraced by the WWE Universe.
Eventually, The Rock turned heel and joined the Faarooq (Ron Simmons) in the Nation of Domination. From there, he discovered The Rock character and became the Superstar we all know and love today. There are some entrance themes that you just know by the very first second you hear it. When you hear the beginning of “If You Smell…” by Jim Johnston you knew something special was about to go down.
While The Rock only had a few particularly fancy entrances, the music and the very presence of The Rock as he made his way to the ring are what made it so great. The Rock’s entrance is timeless; many of you could close your eyes right now and “smell what The Rock is cooking.”
