Does Avengers Endgame have a credits scene?

While we won’t have confirmation until April 23 at the earliest, there’s an extremely good chance Avengers Endgame ends with a credits scene.

Update (April 24): We have it on good authority that there actually will not be any credits scenes at the end of Avengers: Endgame. However, Marvel does have a treat for you, so you may want to stay in your seat a little longer anyways.

Credits scenes are kind of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s thing. They are a staple of all the MCU movies, often balancing something that drives the plot or teases the next movie (usually the mid-credits scene) with something that is purely fun (that is the full post-credits scene). So it stands to reason to wonder whether the latest release, Avengers Endgame, will have one or more credits scenes.

It seems incredibly likely that Avengers 4 will have credits scenes, again, given history, though we won’t know for sure until viewers report back (and/or the embargo lifts on April 23).

In late March, a Redditor with a strong rep for accuracy posted about rumored mid-credits and post-credits scene. They outlined three potential scenes, which, without giving anything away, fit the buckets of cute/funny, dramatic and follow-up film teaser.

Which is to say, definitely wait through the credits of Avengers Endgame, just to be safe. If the film is as devastating as fans are expecting, you’ll likely be glued to your seat in shock and emotion anyways. That, or after three hours you will have lost feeling in your legs. What’s a couple more minutes anyways? In any case, ride it out and catch the mid- and post-credits scene(s).
