MLB Bets – Monday April 22 – Texas Continues On
By John Fazio
Good day from MLB Bets. Another small winner of just over 1/2 unit Sunday pushes the units won to 22.01 on the season.
On Monday’s with new series starting MLB Bets takes it slow. The system wants to gauge how the teams are matching up first. What it does is find dogs that have ways to win and take the plus money.
This worked again Sunday as MLB Bets lost 4 games and won 3, but won money. Let’s see what is penciled in today. All times Eastern and plays are valid even with pitching changes.
Detroit (+2.00) can get to Sale and Boston, 7:10 pm
Chris Sale has been a big disappointment for the Red Sox hurling 1 quality start in 4 tries. Matthew Boyd for the Tigers has a 2.33 ERA in his last 3 starts.
With such a disparity in the pitching line and getting 2-1, Detroit is the play regardless of the perception around this game. Last year Boyd started at Boston and the Tigers won 7-2.
Kansas City (no line ) can upset Boston, 7:10 pm
Surprisingly Brad Keller of KC has a better season ERA than Yonny Chirinos. The Royals are 7-15 overall but Kelley is personally 2-1 and the team is 3-2 when he starts. KC has lost 3 in a row. Tampa has lost 4 in a row.
Look, it’s obvious Tampa has a better team. But this line is going to be high, the public will be on the Rays, and the books are not putting out a number where they will get destroyed.
Texas (+1.16) knocks off Oakland, 10:07 pm
Mike Minor (Texas) is on a major roll, throwing 23 innings allowing 2 runs. Chris Bassitt for Oakland has not pitched yet this season.
The Texas lineup doesn’t have the power away as they do in Arlington, but with the pitching edge they shouldn’t be a dog tonight. MLB Bets is taking the small plus money.
MLB Bets Recap for April 22nd:
Detroit +2.00
Kansas City no line yet
Texas +1.16
