Bryan Bresee commitment could lead to Clemson’s best recruiting class ever
Clemson added the commitment of the nation’s No. 1 recruit, Bryan Bresee, and it could lead to the Tigers having their best recruiting class ever.
For the second time in the last three years, Clemson received the commitment of the nation’s top football recruit. Two years ago it was Trevor Lawrence, today, it was Bryan Bresee who pledged to the Tigers on Tuesday.
“The culture they’re building and what they already have over there is something I definitely want to be part of and hope to contribute to, Bresee said via 247Sports. I just think they do everything right. Coach Bates and the family atmosphere they have over there, all the players seem to love it. I love the campus, everything about it, it seems like the perfect fit for me.”
Bresee’s commitment gives Clemson the nation’s top recruiting class and it’s got the potential to finish that way. Five-star quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei will announce on May 5 and the Tigers are believed to be the favorite for the top quarterback recruit. They’re also in a position to land five-star defensive ends Myles Murphy and Jordan Burch and five-star inside linebacker Antoine Sampeh.
That wasn’t lost on Bresee who remarked about the historical significance the 2020 Clemson class possesses.
“This class could be by far one of the best classes ever,” Bresee said via 247Sports. “I think definitely one of the best classes for Clemson.”
Clemson is defensive line u with a strong track record of signing and developing elite defensive linemen like Gaines Adams, Da’Quon Bowers, Vic Beasley, Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence and rising sophomore Xavier Thomas.
The 6-5, 290-pound Bresee is the next in line and he could be the best of the group when his time in Death Valley is done.
