NBA Playoffs 2019: Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic Game 5 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
The Toronto Raptors will be looking to close out the Orlando Magic in Game 5. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
Since dropping Game 1 to the Magic, under a surprising onslaught from D.J. Augustin, the Raptors have morphed into a juggernaut. They’ve won three games in a row, outscoring the Magic by an average of 20.4 points per 100 possessions. Their defense has been particularly engaged over that stretch seeming determined to prevent a repeat of Game 1’s heroics by Augustin. They’ve allowed Orlando to score 92.9 points per 100 possessions over the last three games. Now, they have a chance to make it four straight and close out the Magic at home.
The Magic have gotten strong offensive performances from a variety of players, but unfortunately not on the same night. In Game 4, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier combined for 44 points on 33 shots, but Terrence Ross and Nikola Vucevic combined for 16 points on 19 shots. This was almost the exact opposite of Game 3, where Vucevic and Ross scored 46 points on 30 shots and Gordon and Fournier put up 17 points on 22 shots.
Toronto is too good for Orlando to beat them with just one or two players going off. They’ll need a sustained team effort, with their top scorers putting up big numbers and their supporting cast hitting open shots at a high rate. It’s a tall order but it’s the only thing standing between them and summer vacation.
