Ronda Rousey resurfaced in a new video that shed little light on her future with the WWE.

Since WrestleMania 35 ended, it’s been a few weeks since we’ve heard from former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Her usually active social media profiles had been filled with Throwback Thursday videos, promotions of her merchandise sales and of course a trip to Browsey Acres where goats and chickens frolicked in the prepper paradise.

Other than showing up on camera to feed her animals, Rousey remained quiet — until now.

In a video post on her official YouTube channel on Monday, Rousey appears with husband Travis Browne to give an update to her fans. Over the squawking of her pet duck Mary in the background, Rousey proceeded to thank everyone for their concern over the injury she sustained at WrestleMania 35.

She explained that after the spot in the match where she tipped over the table because “tables are for b–tches” that she got a little too fired up and came in hot on her opponent, Becky Lynch. As Rousey fired off punches, Lynch covered up from the blows and Rousey clipped her pinkie finger on Lynch’s elbow. It caused Rousey’s knuckle to spread unnaturally to the outside of her hand and would require two metal pins to repair through surgery.

"“I just remember looking down and having six knuckles and thinking ‘now is not the time for the six-knuckle shuffle to become a thing.'”"

Rousey went on to explain that she would definitely be taking time off from the ring to work on starting a family with Browne. According to Rousey, she’d initially only been scheduled to wrestle with WWE until November, 2018. But as time went on, Rousey grew to love the business and it became her life for over a year.

"“As time went on we were playing it by ear and I loved it so much and then I wound up getting the title. And then when it became a real possibility that women could be the main event at WrestleMania if I stuck around, I decided to stick around.”"

The historic first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania did take place as Rousey faced Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a winner-takes-all bout for both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. It would be the first time Rousey lost via pin fall in the WWE.

During the video, Rousey stated she is unsure if she’ll return to the ring after having her first child. It’s something she says she will need to feel in the moment without making any promises for the future. Rumor has it the WWE is hopeful to have Rousey back by WrestleMania 36 for a rematch against Lynch. For now, Rousey is taking some well-deserved rest.
