Bionic Nick Saban, Dame Time, Julian Edelman’s Game 7 chug, El Mago does it again

Nick Saban is not entirely human.

It’s easy to joke about Nick Saban being a machine. But, after undergoing hip replacement surgery earlier this week, part of the Alabama coach is not human.

Rivals have pointed to Saban’s age (he turns 68 on Halloween) and eventual retirement, as the one thing (besides Clemson) that can slow the Tide. But with medical science advancing the way it is, that’s no certainty. Imagine a bionic Saban patrolling the sidelines at Alabama for the rest of time.

Saban could coach forever if doctors are able to replace one body part at a time, he’ll be a coaching version of the Terminator. If you thought he was intimidating now, just wait until he’s a titanium alloy endoskeleton with a hyperalloycombat chassis, microprocessor-controlled, fully armored skin suit.

What time is it? Dame Time!

Damian Lillard hit one of the most cold-blooded shots in NBA history. The 37-footer gave Lillard 50 for the game and knocked out Oklahoma City. Russell Westbrook can have his triple-double but Dame’s got game.

Julian Edelman is a Hall of Famer (at chugging beer)

It won’t show up on the box score but Julian Edelman had the biggest assist of the Bruins’ Game 7 win vs. the Maple Leafs. The Patriots receiver chugged a beer before the puck dropped and the crowd went into a frenzy.

The Leafs never stood a chance after that. The Bruins scored two in the first period to beat the Leafs 5-1.

Put him in the Hall of Fame for this alone.

El Mago does it again

Javy Baez aka El Mago is the most exciting player in baseball. After this juke to get an infield hit, he is also the No. 1 running back on Mel Kiper’s big board.
