High Salary Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

LaMarcus Aldridge (vs DEN – $15,000): Needs 65 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36 fantasy points against Denver. Aldridge should be better at home but it’s also Aldridge. His game is predictable and it’s not exactly good. He needs to get hot and the Nuggets have done a good job at containing him. He does have a good ceiling if he ends up getting hot but I’m just not sure it’s there for him in this series. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Nikola Jokic (at SA – $16,500): Needs 74.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.2 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic is a guy that I have no concerns with because he’s been delivering all series. He should definitely be in your top 3 if you’re going to pick him and is worthy of being your MVP. He’s going to get plenty of minutes and opportunities and he can do a bit of everything. The Spurs have had no real answer for him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jakob Poeltl (vs DEN – $10,500): Needs 47.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.4 fantasy points against Denver. Poeltl has played well enough and you can take him as a STAR or PRO and potentially get some good value out of him. If nothing else, he’s going to get you numbers at a decent enough price since technically he’s a value guy. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
