These 3 NFL teams should be anxious going into the draft

New York Giants

The Giants are sitting in a completely different situation from the first two teams on this list. They have two first-round picks and a pick early in the second round. But, the Giants also have Dave Gettleman making decisions for them. Every move that Gettleman has made in the last six months should scare Giants fans for this draft.

While Saquon Barkley was excellent for the Giants last year, an argument can easily be made that the Giants had more pressing needs with the second pick overall last year.

On top of that, Gettleman just shipped off one of the best young wide receivers in the league after signing him to a long-term extension.  A wide receiver who played better at the quarterback than the team’s starter, Eli Manning, did last season. The compensation that Gettleman received for OBJ was also very underwhelming. It is time for the Giant’s to move on from Eli Manning and while it once appeared the Giants were enamored with Dwayne Haskins and he even reciprocated the love. But it now appears more likely that the team will stick with Eli Manning in 2019.

Since Gettleman took over as the GM for the Giants, the team has been blasted by fans and analysts. No matter how many picks Gettleman has in the draft and no matter what moves he makes, I fear they will be poor decisions. If you gave Gettleman all of the picks from 1-5 somehow I have a feeling he would mess it up. For the sake of Giants fans and football in New York City, I hope the Giants GM can figure it out in this draft and start building a new foundation for the future and hang on to those players as well.
