WWE NXT UK recap for April 24, 2019: Tales from Axxess, Pt. 2

It’s Toni (Promo) Time!

NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm comes out to talk about how she rules, but in a way that still makes you want to cheer for her. Maybe it’s the magic 8-ball necklace that makes her seem so humble. She says how great it is to be in New York City for WrestleMania and then talks about her successful title defense from two weeks ago. Of course, this is now the third NXT UK episode to air after WrestleMania — and when this promo was taped, the title defense hadn’t even aired yet — but hey, Axxess gonna Axxess.

Storm gives Jinny her due and goes on to tout all the other talent that’s been coming into the NXT UK women’s division. You know, Nina Samuels, Xia Brookside, Trish Stratus, Bull Nakano, Piper Niven, Captain Marvel, Cheetara, Laura Palmer, even her biggest rival to-date Rhea Ripley.  That should cover everyone in the NXT UK women’s division, definitely didn’t make any glaring omissions. Anyway, Storm goes on to say that while these women are all great, she’s still Storm and she’s going to remain NXT UK Women’s Champion for a very long time.

Storm leaves the ring, walks up where a ramp would normally be and poses with her title knowing she gave a good promo and named literally everyone worth naming in the NXT UK women’s division. Oh wait.
