Kansas City TV reporter said she gave the sound of Hill talking with fiancee Crystal Espinal to law enforcement before decision not to charge.

Reporter Angie Ricono said on Twitter on Thursday night that she provided a copy of the audio recording of Kansas City wide receiver Tyreek Hill and girlfriend Crystal Espinal discussing his violent behavior toward his three-year-old son to authorities

Ricono said she gave the audio to Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe before Howe decided not to press charges against either Hill or Espinal after their son suffered a broken arm earlier this year.

On the audio, Hill denies having broken his son’s arm, but didn’t dispute hitting his son in the chest and using a belt on the boy. In addition, Hill responded with a chilling remark when Espinal said their son feared Hill.

“You should fear me, too, bitch,” Hill said.

In addition to the police investigation, Hill and Espinal are being investigated by the Department of Child Services over the welfare of their child. Howe admitted to being frustrated by the inability to charge anyone in the case.

“A child has been hurt,” Howe said Wednesday. “So, yes, as a prosecutor, as a father of four kids, yes, it frustrates me when someone hurts a child that you can’t do anything about it.

“We are deeply troubled by this situation and are concerned about the health and welfare of the child in question,” Howe said. “… My duty is to treat everyone the same way in each and every case no matter what our stature in the community is and I have a much higher duty to that child than the Kansas City Chiefs.”
