Good day from NBA Bets.  Toronto and Milwaukee, the 2 stars of the regular season in the Eastern Conference, seem destined to meet in the conference finals.

First let’s review the series picks from NBA Bets.  Brooklyn lost at +5.00, Portland won at +1.40, and San Antonio at +2.05 is about to play their game 7 Saturday.  Now let’s talk about the series starting Saturday, Philadelphia at Toronto.

NBA Bets likes to look for live dogs, mostly wanting to take plus money on those non public teams that match up well with their opponents.  This does not appear to be one of those series.

These two teams played each-other 4 times this season.  The home team won easily in the first 3, but the last game at Philly went easily to Toronto.

It had nothing to do with injuries, because Joel Embiid  Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler all played and Embiid played great, accumulating 37 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.  But Toronto was too much for them winning by 12 points with a well-balanced attack.

If the series is close, the home court advantage will most likely dictate the outcome.  The home team is 5-1 ATS and the 76ers are 0-4 ATS in Toronto.  In fact, Toronto is 13-4 ATS overall against Philadelphia.

Of all the major sports, basketball is the least likely for a weaker team to beat a stronger opponent.  No line drives to go right at an infielder.  No fumbles at the goal line.  No crazy deflections into an open net.  In the NBA, if you’re a better shooter the shot goes in more often and you win the game.

NBA Bets will be back with an in-depth look at Boston versus Milwaukee, but the title of this article says it all.  The Bucks look like they will advance and taking value on the dog will have to wait for another day.
