High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

DeMar DeRozan (at DEN – $8,500): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.9 fantasy points against Denver. DeRozan is DeRozan and now he’s in a Game 7. This could be bad news or he could shed every bad label about his playoff performances if he’s able to somehow get it done in this game. The minutes and shots are going to be there for him, it’s just a matter of him making those tough midrange shots. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $7,200): Needs 31 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.5 fantasy points against Brooklyn. This is where Butler will have to shine. The Raptors are a tough matchup and the Sixers don’t have many guys who can get their own shot on the perimeter. Butler is certainly a guy who can do that. He’ll see a lot of Kawhi but I like him at this salary to step up. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Torrey Craig (vs SA – $4,900): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.2 fantasy points against San Antonio. Craig has been playing well since moving to the starting lineup and the minutes are certainly there for him. The Nuggets will get someone to step up in this game and it could certainly be Craig given his role on the team. He should be around value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Gary Harris (vs SA – $4,800): Needs 20.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.2 fantasy points against San Antonio. Harris has been down in recent contests but the ceiling is still there for him. He has a higher ceiling than Craig and he’s a guy I trust in this position more than Craig. Saving $100 helps a bit as well. Much like Crag, he should get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
