By Adam Stocker
Torino face AC Milan at Stadio Grande Torino on Sunday, April 28. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The race for fourth place in Serie A will go down to the final game of the season. AC Milan enter the weekend in fourth place with 56 points. On Sunday, Milan travel to Turin to play Torino. The Bull are only three points behind Milan as they chase a spot in the Champions League.
Torino have lost only two Serie A games since the calendar flipped to 2019. Walter Mazzarri’s team could be even higher in the table had won a few of the games they drew. This season, Torino have settled for 14 draws, the second highest total in Serie A. Torino have conceded the third fewest amount of goals this season. Despite not having many high-profile players, Mazzarri has the club playing at a very high level. Up front, Andrea Belotti leads the club with 12 goals.
Despite having teams right behind them in the table, AC Milan have managed to remain in fourth place. Gennaro Gattuso’s team have struggled lately, picking up only five points in their last six games. The recent slump has allowed four teams move within four points of Milan. The Red and Blacks will have to start winning games down the stretch if they are going to end their Champions League drought. Gattuso will rely on Krzysztof Piatek to rediscover his scoring touch. The Polish striker has scored eight goals in 13 games for Milan but scored only twice over Milan’s last six games.
