Welcome back readers of FantasyCPR, we are back with Monday’s tournament pitchers and stacks for DraftKings MLB slate. In this we will break down two pitchers who I am looking at along with two stacks that I will be targeting tonight. The second one I feel will really diversify your lineup. Enjoy the content and hope you come back for more MLB DFS advice.

April 29th: MLB DFS DraftKings Tournament Pitchers:

Kenta Maeda, LAD ($9,700)

Maeda is my guy for this slate today. Many will look at Verlander or Corbin, but I will be pounding Maeda in this matchup. Maeda has struggled on the road the season, however, he has faced the Cardinals, Cubs and the Rockies in Coors field. Three elite offenses especially when they are at home. Maeda will travel to San Francisco to face the Giants who are currently the worst team in the MLB in weighted runs created-plus (wRC+) against right-handed pitching. The Giants have a league average strikeout rate against right-handed pitching, how Maeda does possess a 13.5% swinging strike rate. The strikeouts are coming and I do not want to miss out on that start.

John Means, BAL ($7,000)

Means possesses a 15.9 swinging strike rate, he has some nasty pitches that will help him generate strikeout against a team that cannot hit left-handed pitching. Means just played the White Sox’s on April 24th and he went 5 Innings giving up 1 earned and striking out 6 White Sox’s. Means could get blown up, but we’ve seen success and I am buying into his elite pitches. Means is going to go overlooked in this matchup tonight.

Atlanta Braves v. Margevicius

The Braves are home against Margevicius, and are third in the league against left-handed pitching so far this season. Margevicicus has yet to have a blow up game this season and I think tonight is going to be his night that he does. Let’s dive into the numbers and look at why Atlanta is my favorite stack for tonight’s slate.

Braves against LHP so far this season:

Ozzie Albies – 28 PA; 0.462 wOBA; 0.321 ISO; 188 wRC+, 7.1% K-rate

Ronald Acuna Jr. – 29 PA; 0.530 wOBA, 0.500 ISO, 233 wRC+, 17.2% K-rate

Freddie Freeman – 34 PA, 0.514 wOBA, 0.414 ISO, 223 wRC+, 11.8% K-rate

Dansby Swanson – 23 PA; 0.474 wOBA, 0.444 ISO, 196 wRC+, 13.0% K-rate

Josh Donaldson – 26 PA; 0.328 wOBA, 0.056 ISO, 100 wRC+, 26.9% K-rate

The Braves all hit left-handed pitching well, especially fastballs from left-handed pitching which Margevicius relies on over 50% of the time against both right-handed and left-handed hitters. Josh Donaldson is the one on this team that has struggled against left-handed pitching this year but his numbers are going to go up. For Donaldson, I’m relying on stats over the last three years.

Margevicius Pitch type:

April 29th: MLB DFS DraftKings Tournament Stacks

The Rockies have been one of the worst four teams in the MLB in generated offense on the road this season. However, this is the best park they can play in outside of Coors Field and with them being priced up and being on the road they are not going to be owned. The Rockies are finally healthy now and I think this team is going to be dangerous.
