High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Al Horford (at MIL – $6,800): Needs 32.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49.25 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Until I see him have a bad game against the Bucks, I’m going to assume that he’ll never have a bad game against the Bucks. This is his matchup and he continues to get it done against Milwaukee in a variety of ways. You can keep taking him with confidence. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Clint Cappella (at GS – $6,000): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Capela was invisible in Game 1 and the Rockets need him to be better. The good news is that his salary has dropped. And we know he’s capable of more from a numbers perspective. But the Warriors have always been sort of a tough matchup for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Brook Lopez (vs BOS – $5,000): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 8.75 fantasy points against Boston. Another player who was invisible in Game 1. Lopez was always going to have a low floor because the Bucks need him to hit shots and he didn’t hit shots in Game 1. He should be better in Game 2. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Ersan Ilyasova (vs BOS – $3,200): Needs 15.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.5 fantasy points against Boston. Nene and Kevon Looney are also options in this spot. Ilyasova is getting decent enough minutes, and not just garbage time minutes, and we know he can shoot the ball while chipping in with rebounds. He won’t hurt you much at this salary. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
