RIP ESPN The Magazine, too many bowl games, Christian McCaffrey got swole
ESPN The Magazine is over, Indiana football is getting drunk, there will be even more bowl games in college football and Christian McCaffrey got swole.
RIP ESPN The Magazine
ESPN is shutting down ESPN The Magazine in September with the body issue being the last edition. Some of the finest writers have been a part of The Magazine, including Seth Wickersham, Mina Kimes and Wright Thompson, among others. I’ve been a subscriber since the beginning. It was one of the perks of being an ESPN Insider member too. Unfortunately, with this news, my dream of being featured in the body issue is dead.
Too many bowl games or not enough?
The Boston Bowl is one of three new bowl games added to the 2020 bowl season, according to Stadium. The game between an ACC team and AAC team will be played in Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. There are now 43 bowl games, which means there will be some 5-7 teams playing in a bowl game. Nothing like celebrating mediocrity. And nothing screams bowl season than mid-late December games in a baseball stadium. Thanos needs to snap his fingers and turn half these bowl games to dust.
Remember when Christian McCaffrey was too small to play running back?
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey looks like he’s been working out. Remember when some felt he was too small coming out of Stanford to be a three-down back in the NFL? McCaffrey should be the No. 1 pick in fantasy football drafts this summer/fall with a chance to rush for 1,000 yards, catch for 1,000 yards and haul in 100 receptions.
Indiana football but drunk
Beer and wine will be sold for Indiana football games at Memorial Stadium for the first time this year. The beer goggles will make the football team go from looking like a six-win team to an eight-team win.
