High Salary Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

Nikola Jokic (vs POR – $17,500): Needs 78.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 69.8 fantasy points against Portland. There is no stopping Jokic. At least if you’re the Blazers. They don’t have an answer for him and I don’t suspect they will end up having an answer for him in this game. The Blazers defense is good, but a bit overhyped just because they beat an offensively challenged Thunder team. Jokic should continue to dominate. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Enes Kanter (at DEN – $12,500): Needs 55.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.4 fantasy points against Denver. Kanter looked fine despite the shoulder injury, at least on the offensive end. As long as he gets the minutes, he will get the rebounds and points because that’s what he’s done his entire career. He’s still Enes Kanter, which always worries me. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Paul Millsap (vs POR – $10,000): Needs 43.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.7 fantasy points against Portland. Millsap had a strong Game 1 but we have seen this before. Millsap always has a good ceiling but also has a low floor. He’s going to get the minutes and he can contribute in multiple ways but he’s an inconsistent player. I do like this matchup overall but I also warn that he could just as easily end up with 15 fantasy points. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
