FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 1, 2019
High Value Forwards/Centers
Players costing over $12,000
Maurice Harkless (at DEN – $10,500): Needs 43.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11 fantasy points against Denver. Simply put, the Blazers have to get more out of Harkless. I’m just not sure they’ll get more out of Harkless, at least not on the road. He struggled with the Nuggets all season and until I see him deliver a big outing against them, there just isn’t a reason to trust him. The minutes and chances will be there. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
Al-Farouq Aminu (at DEN – $10,000): Needs 43.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.6 fantasy points against Denver. Aminu is another guy who the Blazers simply need more from. A quick note on Rodney Hood, who had a strong Game 1. I don’t mind him in this series as a salary saving option. He’ll be streaky, but the Nuggets have trouble against scoring guards. As for Aminu, he was too good against the Nuggets in the regular season to go completely away from him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Mason Plumlee (vs POR – $9,000): Needs 40.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.7 fantasy points against Portland. Plumlee got extra minutes in Game 1 and made the most of those minutes. Will he get the same minutes in Game 2? I have some doubts but he’s at a decent enough salary to where if he continues to get those minutes, he can take advantage of a weaker Portland bench and frontcourt. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
