Arsenal face Valencia at the Emirates on Thursday, May 2. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Europa League now looks like Arsenal’s best chance of earning a place in next term’s Champions League. It was almost universally predicted that their extraordinary early-season winning streak couldn’t last, as the underlying numbers for Unai Emery’s side were never very strong. And that’s turned out to be the case – put simply, conceding 49 goals is very seldom going to get a team into the Premier League’s top four.

One of the biggest concerns for Arsenal fans is that rather than the players seeming have grasped Emery’s gameplan more firmly as the season has progressed, there instead appears to be less cohesion in their play than we saw six months ago.

Meanwhile, the hierarchy at Valencia have been thoroughly vindicated in their decision to stick with head coach Marcelino, after his side began the season with a seemingly endless series of draws. That stuttering start to the campaign left Valencia near the relegation zone, but their vastly improved form since Christmas has seen them rise to sixth place in La Liga, just three points behind Sevilla in fourth. They certainly look to be team with the momentum going into this tie.
