Winner No. 3: Derek Carr

Carr had already been a huge winner of the free agency period prior to the draft, since the Raiders added Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams. That gave him two legitimate weapons at wide receiver. He also is a big winner in the wake of the draft.

First, the Raiders did not draft a replacement or even a potential understudy at quarterback. So Carr does not face increased competition and can focus on improving and developing chemistry with the new offensive pieces.

Second, the Raiders drafted a very highly touted running back out of Alabama named Josh Jacobs. This should help the offense in several ways, but primarily should help the Raiders have a more consistent rushing attack to take pressure off the passing game. If they can increase their time of possession and work their way up the field, it will also help the defense.

The Raiders also grabbed a young tight end with big upside named Foster Moreau, who they hope will eventually replace the production of Jared Cook after he left for the Saints. And they also added a potential slot option in Hunter Renfrow.

All in all, Carr should benefit from these moves and has a chance to be a serviceable fantasy quarterback this year.
