Udinese face Inter Milan at Stadio Friuli on Saturday, May 4. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Sitting in third place behind Juventus and Napoli on Matchday 35, Inter Milan will qualify for the Champions League if they can hold off any sort of a late charge from AS Roma, AC Milan, Torino, or any of the other teams currently in a Europa League spot.

Grabbing all three points on the road against Udinese would go a long way towards sealing Champions League football for the Nerazzurri, who will have Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic firing on all cylinders for this game. They are Inter’s two leading goal-scorers this season, with Lautaro Martinez, who has received 1,138 minutes of Serie A action in relief of Icardi as the lone striker, in third.

Udinese have plenty to play for, too. They only won one game out of six in the entire month of April, and they are fighting a tough relegation battle with Empoli. Sandwiched in between Genoa and Empoli in 17th place, Udinese aren’t safe yet, as just four points separate them from Empoli in 18th.

For Udinese, Rodrigo de Paul has been the difference-maker, providing a team-high nine goals in midfield with four assists to boot. He is one of the top five players in the Serie A in key passes, and he’s also in the top 10 in both dribbles completed and fouls drawn.

Though Udinese have historically struggled against Inter and are massive underdogs in a matchup with a Champions League-caliber squad, there is hope. They have been a force to reckon with at home, and they have not lost a game on their own turf in these last six Serie A contests. Inter will be expected to win comfortably, but Udinese could secure a valuable point if they can use their height advantage and frustrate Inter’s bruising midfield with de Paul.
