Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – The Breakdown

*Day 1 Matches Have Been Postponed Until Thursday Night/Friday Early Morning*

Hello everyone! Freshie here and I am bringing you some new and a different type of article! All about ESports! You know, the industry of competitive video-gaming. Yes, that’s right, video games have reached a new height of entertainment and has broken down the doors for competitive gaming. There are people earning the top dollar in some of your favorite video games by competing in tournaments as a pro-league team, taking home close to six figures.

There are over 25 video games used in the ESports industry currently and while they aren’t all of your favorites, the tournaments get pretty intense. I do have to warn you guys though, not all books and betting websites cover every single ESports contest sadly. I’ll do my best to target the ones that are on major sites.

For today’s and majority of this weekend of 5/3-5/6, the main ESports tournament is for one of my favorites, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. A video game that pits two teams against each other, five verses five, in a search and destroy game type mode. One side plays as the “terrorist” and goes to plant the bomb at one of the two sites, A or B. The opposing team is playing as the Counter-Terrorist and their goal is to either eliminate the terrorist before they plant the bomb or defuse the bomb afterwards.

For this contest, the two teams will pick what maps they play on for the Best of 3 tournament format. Each map will end when one of the teams reaches 16 round wins. Overtime rules go to best of 5 if needed.

For betting purposes, it is just as simple and basic as sports betting also. We have the usual money-line which is the straight up bet. We also have the spread which is usually -1.5 or +1.5 which means a team needs to win 2-0 for the best of three this weekend. Lastly we have the O/U of 2.5 for this weekends. Taking the over means you expect the two teams to play all three maps and taking the under means you expect a clean sweep for one team.

Hopefully this wasn’t too much to take in but let’s get in to my top plays to kick off the new week! This tournament is a best of 1 series to kick off the opening rounds. Good luck and see the green!

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – ESea Premier Day 2 Bets

Chiefs ESports Club (-115) vs. Order (-115)

H2H: Chiefs 4-5 Order (1 Overtime)

We are kicking off the morning matches with a good one as these two squads have faced each other 9 total times already! The public is leaning more to the Chiefs for this best of one match-up at 64%. Surprisingly Chiefs have only won twice in their past five matches, coming off of a 1-2 loss to the Fnatic.

On the other side, Team Order are coming off of 2 big wins while only losing one in their past five games. The two teams will be playing on Nuke where the Chiefs have a 80% win-rate while the Order have a 69% win-rate.

Bets To Place: Order -115

Paradox Gaming (-180) vs. Rooster (+135)

H2H: First Time Facing Off Versus Each Other 0-0

We have a very one sided match-up here if we’re basing it off of past performances. Paradox Gaming has won 3 straight after being swept back to back in best of three performances. Then on the other end, Rooster has lost the past three after winning back to back matches. But like any other match-up, Rooster just needs to win on just one map to open up their opening round.

The two teams will be duking it out on Mirage, a map that Paradox Gaming has a 75% win-rate on. The public is also heavily on Paradox Gaming and for good reason, something I’ll be on also.

Bets To Place: Paradox Gaming -180

Dinq (+385) vs. Genuine Gaming (-575)

H2H: First Time Facing Off Versus Each Other 0-0

Dinq almost did what I thought the could do and that was beat Paradox early yesterday morning but they lost in overtime rounds, 17-19. Still being the heavy underdog, Dinq gets to face a Geuine Gaming squad that is on somewhat of a hot streak of playing, besides one game. GG has won four of their last five matches, losing just one to Breakaway where they got swept.

Like in yesterday’s article, Dinq is still the underdog but just at +385 as they head in to their third match-up as a team. Once again, this is just a best of one series meaning Dinq can easily take it if they communicate and play just like yesterday. They will be playing on Nuke where Dinq has played a good amount on already at 75% while Genuine Gaming is at 33%.

Bets To Place: Dinq +385 (Fade prefer if you don’t want to risk the ol’ bank roll)

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – ESea Premier Day 2 Bets

Jade (-310) vs. Fanta (+230)

H2H: First Time Facing Off Versus Each Other 0-0

We’re coming in to a match today with a team that is basically unknown in previous matches with Fanta, who seem to be just a underdog of +230. On the other end, Jade has only won twice in their past five matches but are coming off of two losses to Breakaway and ORDER.

The two teams will be meeting up on Train where neither team has a winning history on at all so we should be in for a great one, right? Fanta played earlier on April 30th and May 2nd, winning both 1-0.

Bets To Place: Fanta +230

Fanta (+600) vs. Ground Zero Gaming (-1400)

H2H: First Time Facing Off Versus Each Other 0-0

I honestly don’t understand the odds for this match-up with Ground Zero Gaming being the favorites at -1400. It’s crazy. Fanta is also coming in to this match-up after facing Jade but I don’t think that will affect anyone. Ground Zero is coming in to this match-up with three straight losses, all sweeps. They will be looking to get back on track here with this one.

Previous stated, Fanta is coming in to this one after playing Jade but before that with two 1-0 wins to end April and begin May. Fanta and Ground Zero will be playing on Dust2, a map with no play history basically or even a winning history, which adds more questions to this match-up.

Next. LoL Counter-Strike betting predictions for Friday May 10th. dark

Bets To Place: Fanta +600 (This is disrespectful coming in to this match)
