NBA Playoffs 2019: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics Game 4 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
Have the Milwaukee Bucks really solved the Boston Celtics’ defense? Here’s everything you need to know to watch them try and prove it in Game 4.
The Celtics did an incredible job defending Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 1 of this second-round series, putting Al Horford on him and walling off the paint with the rest of their defenders. Giannis had one of his worst games of the season, struggling to score around the basket and with his teammates unable to punish Boston for packing the paint.
Over the past two games, that trend has shifted pretty dramatically. In Games 2 and 3 (both Bucks’ wins) combined, Giannis has attempted 40 free throws and gone 12-of-19 on shots in the restricted area. His points in the paint volume is down slightly but he’s compensating at the free throw line. The shooters have also shown up — the Bucks are 23-of-57 (40.4 percent) on catch-and-shoot 3-pointers in the last two games.
Boston, on the other hand, has seen their offense wither. Milwaukee’s perimeter switching has thrown them off rhythm and Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum are a combined 21-of-64 from the field and 3-of-20 on 3-pointers in Games 2 and 3. With Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown unable to pick up any of the slack, they’ve looked completely overmatched. However, Marcus Smart may return this week which would give Boston a huge emotional and functional lift.
Below is everything you’ll need to watch Game 4, a pivotal contest that will either even the series or put the Celtics’ back to the wall.
