The Houston Rockets have battled the Golden State Warriors at every opportunity, finally getting a win in Game 3. Can they do it again in Game 4?

The Houston Rockets could not catch a break in the first two games of this series, not getting the calls they were hoping for in Game 1 and James Harden’s eye injury become the major story in Game 2. In Game 3, they finally got a well-rounded bench performance from the supporting cast and took advantage of one of the worst playoff performances of Stephen Curry’s career. Now they’ll need to prove they can do it to again.

One of the major factors in Houston’s Game 3 was their ability to leverage the Warriors on the glass. Golden State had been +16 on the glass in the first two games of the series, including piling up 26 offensive rebounds. In Game 3, Houston was +20 on the glass with 17 offensive rebounds to 7 for Golden State. P.J. Tucker and Clint Capela should continue to be able to leverage this and it’s especially important with the Warriors playing small as often as they have been in this series.

For Golden State, they should feel fairly confident that Curry will bounce back. Kevin Durant has been superb and largely responsible for their two wins, despite Curry shooting just 8-of-32 on 3s in the series. Curry’s blown layup and blown dunk were huge, obvious errors but he’s not going to shoot this badly for long.
