23. Mekhi Becton – Offensive tackle, Louisville

Every year a team falls in love with a player’s measurables and Mekhi Becton could be that player for some team in the first round next draft. A monster at 6’7″ and 340 pounds, Becton has surprising movement skills and flexibility for a man his size. Once he gets a hold of you, the play is pretty much over as a defender and expect to be in the dirt.

In pass protection, Becton is so massive with such long arms that is hard to get past him. However, as stated before he isn’t just some plotter that rests on his size, he as solid feet too. Becton seems to control edge rusher showing patience and trust in his ability whether he is playing left or right tackle.

It is impressive that Becton was able to stand out on such a terrible team in 2018. Hopefully, the new coaching staff can turn things around for this offense and help even further Becton’s draft status for 2020 or 2021. The upside given his traits is undeniable, and if he has a tremendous junior season, there will be several teams looking at him on day one of the draft.
