FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 9, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Jimmy Butler (vs TOR – $9,800): Needs 41.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.5 fantasy points against Toronto. Butler will have to step up once again because the Sixers are on their last legs. Ben Simmons isn’t going to cut it and Embiid just looks likes death out there. Butler will deliver once again because he doesn’t have a choice. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
CJ McCollum (vs DEN – $7,500): Needs 31.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.3 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum was cold in the last game but the Blazers were blown out and no one looked great for them. I expect a much better effort from everyone on the Blazers in this game, McCollum included. He’ll bounce back with a good outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Gary Harris (at POR – $5,800): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.2 fantasy points against Portland. Harris has continued to be a steady performer and he’s a guy that I don’t worry about in this position. He’s going to get the minutes and he will chip in in multiple ways. He’ll be counted on in a big way and he’ll deliver once again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Danny Green (at PHI – $4,900): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Green is coming off a great game and he’s a Raptors player that I haven’t worried about all playoffs simply because he has that Spurs DNA in him. There might be value in one of the two Denver guards but you’d be flipping a coin on which one delivers. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
