Aaron Rodgers to appear in episode 5 of Game of Thrones
Aaron Rodgers is set to make a guest appearance in Season Five, Episode Eight of Game of Thrones on Sunday, according to sources
According to multiple sources, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will make a cameo appearance in HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones on Sunday Night.
In the next to last episode of the series, the former NFL MVP will….well, we don’t know yet. Despite dropping innumerable hints over the last several weeks, Rodgers has given no indication of what he will actually be doing in his appearance.
Because HBO announced that this would be the final season of the show, millions have flocked to their screens every Sunday night to ensure that they do not miss a single second, nor have the experience ruined by one of the oodles of internet spoilers. The season has shattered viewership records already.
Rodgers’ appearance will not be the first celebrity cameo of the final season, as a slew of famous folks have appeared throughout the series.
Speculation has boiled across the internet on what Rodgers will actually do in the episode. Sports Illustrated has collected several of the possible roles including: being a member of the Golden Company, being a member of Euron’s Fleet, being a member of the Northern Army, or becoming the Prince of Dorne.
The last NFL player to make a cameo was the Los Angeles Chargers Joey Bosa who appeared (though briefly) in the Battle of Winterfell.
Many will argue that Rodgers may be best served spending his offseason building a relationship with new head coach Matt LaFluer; but we suspect that the quarterback has not spent too much time on the set for Game of Thrones. So never fear, Packers fans, your quarterback won’t be abandoning you for the screen too much, despite all of the talk he’s done about it.
