Draftkings League of Legends – The Breakdown

The goal in League of Legends is to knock down your opponents towers and destroying their Nexus. There are different lanes that players play in as different champions. You have top lane, mid lane, bottom lane which has two players in on both teams, one being a support, the other known as the ADC and then you also have a jungler who bounces throughout the map. You merge items and weapons together to make your champion stronger which can give you the upper hand in battles.

While the battle is going on, you can use your team to attack the different elements of a dragon called “Drake” to gain team boosts. There is also a Rift Herald which is the ultimate dragon to take down which gives your team an incredible boost plus the small minions or you can just call them minions from Despicable Me that are dressed up.

Scoring:

Now let’s get into the points system and how it works for your line-up build and then we’ll move on to line building strategy.

Captain: Like all showdown slates, we have the Captain position which earn 1.5x fantasy point values.

Kills: +3 Points | Assist: +2 Points | Death: -1 Points | Creep Score: +0.2 Points | 10+ K/A Bonus: +2 Points ( 10 Kills or 10 Assists in A Single Game)

Teams: You also pick a team to put in your lineup, so here’s the point break down for them:

Turrets: +1 Point | Dragons: +2 Points | Baron: +3 Points | First Blood: +2 Points | Win: +2 Points | Win Under 30 Minutes Bonus: +2 Points

We’ll be covering all 3 slates for League of Legends on this early Monday Morning! So Mid-Season Invitational 1, 2, and 3. These are the top choices at each lane but not all can fit in to a single line-up together.

Draftkings League of Legends – MSI Slate 1

You’ll find who to target in your line-ups while also, I’ll note who the Captain could possibly be for you with **

Top – Wunder ($6,800)

Wunder is coming off of a pretty huge match versus SK Telecom T1 from yesterday morning. He finished with 11 kills, 4 deaths and 7 assists. He had a K/D ration of 4.5 while killing 6.1 creeps per minute. He has made a great impact in the last three victories that his team has gotten, averaging 4 deaths or lower while racking up kills and assist. But in the losses that his team has faced, he was basically non-existent. He’ll be looking to keep the momentum going once again.

Jungle – Bugi ($6,400) **

Bugi is actually priced pretty cheap for his recent works. He is coming off of two games where he made an impact, getting 6 kills in both back to back matches but also adding on 6 assist and 9 assist. He had a K/D ratio of 6 and 3 in the previous two while averaging 5.1 and 4.8 creeps per minute. He will most likely be the guy I target for captain also at his price.

MID – Caps ($7,600) *Possible Captain But Do Take in Price

Now Caps is a very high-priced mid but for good reason. He brings the kills and assist while averaging a high creep per minute. He almost is averaging 8 creeps per minute in his past five games. He is also coming off of a huge dominate match with 8 kills, 10 assists, and 2 deaths. He has only pushed over 5 deaths twice in his past five matches.

ADC – Betty ($7,200) **

Betty is a force that you should not avoid. Averaging also 10 creeps per minute as a ADC is huge. The support system is there on the bottom lane. Also Betty is coming off of two huge matches averaging a K/D ration of 12 and 10 while playing a perfect game versus Team Liquid previously with 5 kills, 7 assists, and no deaths! Another possible captain but the price there is high also.

SUP – ShiauC ($5,000)

Why is Draftkings not raising the price on ShiauC? Who really knows! He is coming off of huge matches where he racked up 9 assist and 16 assists! As a Support that is what we’re looking for. He was also just 5% owned in Sundays early, early match! ShiauC is the perfect support and will most likely continue his momentum this morning also.

Team – Team Liquid ($5,800)

Highest priced team on the slate but for good reason and should easily roll through Phong Vu Buffalo this morning.

Draftkings League of Legends – MSI Slate 2

Top –TheShy ($6,800)

TheShy and Invictus Gaming is on a straight roll right now with 5 straight wins and they’ll be looking to continue it. He finally bounced back from a match where he saw 8 deaths but turned it around with 2 kills, 5 assists, and 3 deaths. He also held a K/D ratio of 2.33 while averaging 7.6 creeps per minute. He is on the higher side but with the other players on the slate, he’s also the best option.

Jungle – Ning ($7,200) **

Another high priced Invictus Gaming player but also for good reason, they should dominate this match-up. Ning is coming off of a nice game where his K/D ratio finished at 6.5 and averaged 6.2 creeps per minute. He also put up 6 kills, 7 assists and 2 deaths. He really has only had one bad match in this past five where he saw 4 deaths but even then, he balanced it out with 8 assist. Besides the ADC position, he may be the captain to roll with.

MID – Rather ($6,200) **

Now Rather and the Flash Wolves do have a difficult match-up but with his price, he looks like a great play and may go low owned for such a small slate. He is coming off of an almost perfect game versus Team Liquid where he went for 3 kills, 11 assists, and 1 death. Holding a K/D ratio of 14! He also averaged 9 creeps per minute and that’s actually be close to his average in all past five games. He may be a great call for captain also.

ADC – JackeyLove ($8,000)

Sitting at $8k is a pretty steep price but boy does JackeyLove warrant it! He is coming off of a perfect game (which he has done twice in his past five matches), recording 4 kills and 7 assists. He also had a K/D ratio of 11 while averaging 11 creeps per minute versus the Phong Vu Buffalo! His price does sky rocket to $12k as a captain which would hinder your entire build and I honestly don’t think he could carry an entire line-up to a take-down.

SUP – Baolon ($6,200) **Possibly low owned play

Now I usually tend to pay down for support because I feel like most players go overlooked at this position. But for this MSI2 slate, it’s either Baolon or my favorite, ShiauC. I would only go ShiauC if he has another great match on the first slate. Baolon though is coming off of back to back double digit assist games (remember you get bonus points for 10+ kills or assists). But he has also hit the double digit assists in 4 of his last five matches and in the one where he didn’t hit the double digit, he had 9. Another plus for Baolon, he rarely dies as he has only died 4 times twice in the past five matches, nothing higher then that.

Team – G2 Sports ($4,800)

This slate we have many high priced players and choosing a team that may not pull out the W is a call that we may have to take to save salary. G2 Sports should be the one team that can keep victory somewhat in sight and possible pull the upset.

Draftkings League of Legends – MSI Slate 3

Top – Impact ($5,800)

Impact is a player that is priced pretty spot on. He does some things and then he doesn’t which isn’t that bad as long as he keeps his deaths to a minimum. He is coming off of a match where he recorded just 1 kill and 2 deaths while averaging 9.5 creeps per minute. But he usually keeps his stat line around 3 kills and about 5 assists per game. If he records that at $5,800, we’ll be alright.

More from FanSided

Jungle – Ning ($7,400) **

We’ll most likely be looking to pay up once again for Ning in his second match of the morning. His team is rolling and should keep doing so. Plus with his 6 kills, 7 assists, and 2 deaths in the previous match before the MSI2 Slate, he is worth it. Now, he does get expensive as a captain but we should base it off of his first match this morning before hand.

MID – Naul ($6,400)

Now Naul is a great play for MID and at a great price. He is coming off of a decent match of 2 kills, 4 assists and 2 deaths while holding a K/D ratio of 3 and 7 creeps per minute. But in the match before that in their victory over G2 Sports, he held a K/D ratio of 20 while recording 5 kills, 15 assists and no deaths. He’s another player that rarely dies and that’s a plus at his price range.

ADC – JackeyLove ($8,400)

I just can’t avoid JackeyLove as an ADC but as a captain, I will. If he was on a slate with much better lower plays than I would make him a captain but it truly depends on the slate. I’ll most likely have him locked in on both slates as an ADC. And if you want to see me fanboy about him, just go back to the MSI2 Slate and you’ll see why he’s priced so high.

SUP – Palette ($4,400)

Palette is truly just a salary saver for this slate with JackeyLove on it. Now he isn’t anything spectacular but he has recorded double-digit assists twice in his past five matches. He has also only hit the 5 death marks twice in those five while recorded a 1, 2, and 2 deaths in the other three. For his price point, he’s perfect and he is someone you don’t need a lot from to get value returned. Plus if he has another great match, he may go low owned and be great to boost the line-up to the top of the leader-board.

Team – Team liquid ($4,800)

Another play that can help out the line-up is Team Liquid who will be facing Invictus Gaming. This match-up should be one of the closer ones also so you could get a win bonus from Team Liquid in this one but they should also rack up some turret bonus points too.
