7,000 and Below

Justin Harding ($7,000) Hit-or-miss has been the name of the game for Harding, but he hits well when he does. In his last four tournaments, he’s missed the cut twice — but in the other two finishes, he went T12 at The Masters and T10 at the Byron Nelson. Intriguing risk and potential value here.

Pat Perez ($7,000) Perez has quietly come back from his calf injury quite strong, finishing T8 at the Wells Fargo and then T12 at the Byron Nelson. With that strong play coming into the PGA Championship, the hope at this price is that he can keep something close to that recent form.

Eddie Pepperell ($6,900) Pepperell is a bit of a wild card, capable of a top-tier finish (T3 at THE PLAYERS, T2 at the British Masters) and also of dropping the ball (T51 at The Masters). At this price point on DraftKings, though, he’s worth consideration.

Jorge Campillo ($6,900) Having not played on the PGA Tour this year, Campillo is a definite dark horse. However, he’s up to 65th in the World Golf Rankings and has been white hot overseas, finishing third, first and third in his last three tournaments, respectively. If he can stay hot, he could be an immense value.

Russell Knox ($6,700) The Scotland native hasn’t been out of his mind this season, but he’s been solid with 11 of 13 made cuts and three top-25 finishes in his last 10 starts. If you just want a solid hand likely to make the weekend, bet on Knox.

J.B. Holmes ($6,600) Holmes hasn’t been playing well coming into the PGA Championship. Having said that, he’s got solid history at Bethpage Black (T27 at 2009 U.S. Open) and could be worth a flier as he took time to get ready for this.

Scott Piercy ($6,500) With a new look, Piercy has quietly been good this year, only missing two cuts in 15 starts and registering six top-10s. Moreover, with a T3 and T2 as his last two finishes, this could be great value.

Dylan Frittelli ($6,300) If you’re looking for a supremely cheap value play, Frittelli should be your guy on DraftKings. Making 12 of 16 cuts this season, including his last five and registering two top-25 finishes over that span, the South African has a little juice to potentially score into the weekend.
