There’s an eight game slate tonight and we have the MLB DFS Stacks that you need to try to focus on to bring home the big bucks for MLB DFS!

It’s been a little while since we’ve done an article, but we’re going to run through the top 5 MLB DFS Stacks for tonight’s MLB DFS slate! There are a couple very obvious ones tonight, and the chalk is likely to hit. We’ll get to that one in a bit, but first we have some other offenses that might not get the attention they should.

5. Milwaukee Brewers

Main Targets – Christian Yelich, Mike Moustakas

Normally, Jake Arrieta isn’t a pitcher that you wan to go nuts with stacking against. While I would leave off the righties for the Brewers, I am highly interested in a lefty stack. Arrieta only strikes out lefties about 13 percent of the time. If you can’t miss the bats of Yelich, Moustakas, Eric Thames and even Yasmani Grandal, you have issues. Arrieta is giving up an HR/9 over 2.00 this season to lefty hitters.

In fairness, the number has been lower at home but Philly is still a small park. He walks about the same amount of hitters he strikes out from the left side, which will create even more issues. The fly balls to lefties have crept up over 40 percent, and the hitters for Milwaukee all have an ISO over .220 this season except for Grandal. Thames is a big strikeout risk at 38.4 percent on the season, so he’s GPP only for me. The Brewers will not be that highly owned and could do some work tonight.

4. Texas Rangers

Main Targets – Joey Gallo, Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara

It was sort of lost in the shuffle since the Royals went crazy last night, but the Rangers scored some runs too. They stand to do it again tonight as they face off against Jorge Lopez, who struggles mightily versus lefty hitters. Texas is one team that you don’t want a weakness to the left side of the plate, and Lopez has it. He does have some strikeout potential at 22.8 percent to southpaws, but that comes with a 3.24 HR/9, .667 slugging and a .432 wOBA. Lefties have already hit six homers off of Lopez and I’m betting that number climbs tonight.

Texas isn’t a great team so I’m not sure people realize Joey Gallo has been so good this year.  The K rate is about the same, but the walks have jumped up to 20.3 percent, the ISO is enormous at .368 overall and he’s hitting .248. That’s quite the feat for a player with a .208 lifetime average. You can add in Shin-Soo Choo, who has a .929 OPS and even dive into Nomar Mazara, Rougned Odor and Danny Santana if you want the full stack.

3. Tampa Bay Rays

Main Targets – Austin Meadows, Brandon Lowe, Ji-Man Choi

Jose Urena will take the mound for the Marlins which generally has meant one thing – hits galore for the other team. He’s giving up a .290 batting average and not striking out nearly enough hitters at just 15.8 percent. His HR/9 has jumped up to 1.35 and he just doesn’t seem to know how to harness his stuff quite yet. He’s using the fastball almost 65 percent of the time and giving up a .317 average on it. When he throws a slider, it gets hit for a .270 ISO. That’s not a good mix.

Meadows has blossomed into a great player, probably to the chagrin of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He currently ranks 20th vs the fastball and then is a plus against the slider as well. That’s in addition to the OPS which is over 1.000 versus righty pitching and an ISO that’s over .380. Meadows, Lowe, Tommy Pham, Avasail Garcia, Ji-Man Choi and Yandy Diaz all rate well vs the fastball and Urena is in big trouble here.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

Main Targets – Cody Bellinger, Kike Hernandez, Max Muncy

I’m pretty certain I couldn’t make an appearance and not mention the Dodgers or Brian wouldn’t let me back (editors note – very true). Not to worry, my friend. I’m here to gush over the Dodgers tonight. They face lefty Matt Strahm, and the San Diego pitcher has been reverse splits this season. That’s funny, because the three best hitters for the Dodgers vs lefty pitching all happen to be lefty hitters themselves. The Dodgers may not start them all, but Alex Verdugo, Max Muncy and Cody Bellinger all have a wOBA over .400 against left pitching.

More from FanSided

If you wan to stick to the conventional side, Kike Hernadez, Justin Turner, David Freese and Chris Taylor all have an ISO over .220. If every single hitter was active, that would make seven of eight hitters have that high of an ISO and the lowest wOBA would be Turner at .318. Even he has been better lately. Strahm doesn’t have the strikeout stuff to not get tagged and LA rates extremely well here.

1. Houston Astros

Main Targets – 1-9 in the lineup

It’s been a rough series for the Tigers against the Astros. They saw Matt Boyd get knocked out after four innings in the series opener, so the bullpen has pitched the majority of the last two games. That’s not good because they have the third worst ERA in baseball as relievers.

Tonight, they start lefty Matt Hall. He’s pitched eight innings in the majors and his ERA is over 10.00. He’s only struck out about 10 percent of the hitters he’s faced and the wOBA to both sides of the plate are well over .400.

Houston has racked up 25 hits and 19 runs through the past two games and they are in prime position to do it again. Six hitters have an OPS over .800 and Aledmys Diaz has been red-hot lately on top of it. The Astros are going to be chalky again and with good reason. They are the top offense on the slate and I will have exposure everywhere.
