Twin Cities become ‘Bloop Cities’ and 8 other highlights you missed
By Kareem Gantt
Wednesday gave us a plate full of great highlights, from Bruce Willis throwing the first pitch in the dirt to the Twins committing the error of the season.
1. Twin City Blooper
Everyone loves to think that baseball is an easy-peezy sport.
All players do are hit a baseball, throw a baseball, and, if you’re an outfielder, chill out in the warm summer sun until the ball is hit your way. Baseball sometimes gets a bad wrap, but the folks who constantly say that baseball is easy, we have news for you — it isn’t.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can make a comedy of errors that will haunt you forever, much like what happened to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.
2. Getting it in at Spring Practice
Do you think high school players don’t get it in during Spring Practice? Well, you haven’t seen one in Georgia.
Charles R. Drew High School in Riverside held their Spring Practice today, and it’s safe to say that these players can’t wait for Friday nights, especially this wideout who pulled out his inner OBJ.
3. Welcome to The Show, Austin Riley
There is nothing more special in the Majors than when a player hits their first-ever home run. The latest to achieve this milestone was the Atlanta Braves’ Austin Riley.
Soak up the moment.

4. Bledsoe does magic
Eric Bledsoe is one of the most exciting guards in the NBA.
Don’t believe me?
Check it out for yourself.
5. Silky Smooth Kawhi
Remember when Kawhi Leonard first entered the NBA and he couldn’t shoot a fly off of a wall?
Flash forward to 2019, and we’re now gushing over Kawhi’s silky smooth J.
6. Brook Lopez: The Human Torch
Allow me to re-introduce Brook Lopez:
7. Giannis says “NOT IN MY HOUSE!”
Let us all take some time to appreciate the many talents of Giannis Antetokounmpo, including the one where he tells Kyle Lowry “NOT IN MY HOUSE!!”
8. “I see dead … arms”
Please forgive Bruce Willis. His arm is still sore from throwing Hans Gruber off that skyscraper in L.A.
9. Erik Karlson wins it in OT
Who said that Erik Karlson didn’t have what it takes to be a postseason hero?
