The Beastslayer takes on The Phenomenal One when Seth Rollins defends his Universal Championship against A.J. Styles in a dream match at Money in the Bank.

When AJ Styles moved to Monday Night Raw during the Superstar Shake-Up fans grew excited at the prospect of seeing a dream match between he and Universal Champion Seth Rollins in the future. But why wait? Styles immediately challenged Rollins for his title at the upcoming Money in the Bank event.

It’s a good move for Styles. He had a nice run on SmackDown but after losing his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan he started to slide out of the title picture and down the roster to make room for other Superstars. Sending him over to Raw gives him a fresh start with a new crop of talent to face. And win or lose against Rollins, this rivalry doesn’t have to end at Money in the Bank.

For Rollins, it’s a chance to go against a solid worker whose style is similar to his own. The two of them have already established some heat going into the match after their contract signing became physical with Styles putting Rollins through a table following a springboard forearm. It’s clear this will not be a respectful face vs. face match where they shake hands and go easy. This match is about dominance and who will be top guy on the Raw brand.

Both Rollins and Styles have proven to be workhorses who can draw a crowd and carry match regardless of who they’re in the ring with. Either one of them can be “the face that runs the place.” But Rollins’ title reign seems to just be getting started. With Roman Reigns officially a SmackDown star only showing up as a “wild card” on Raw, it seems likely that Rollins will hold onto that title for at least a little while longer.

Again, this doesn’t have to end at Money in the Bank, as the possibilities for future matches with Rollins and Styles is almost endless. The only other factor that could contribute to who walks away as champion is the winner of the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Will it remain “Monday Night Rollins” or will Raw become “The house that A.J. Styles built?”
