Here is our five-count rundown from this week’s episode of WWE NXT, keeping you up-to-date on the latest happenings in the black and gold brand.

This week’s edition of WWE NXT had a little bit of everything, as several stories were advanced leading into NXT TakeOver XXV. This included the conflict within the Undisputed Era and the uncertainty of the NXT tag team division with the apparent departure of the Viking Raiders.

There’s a lot to go over so let’s not waste any more time, this is the NXT 5 Count for May 15.

1. Roddy secures his spot in the Undisputed Era

One of the main stories coming out of last week’s edition of NXT saw the issues between Adam Cole and Roderick Strong in the Undisputed Era begin to boil over to the point where Cole told Strong that he didn’t deserve to wear the Era’s trademark armband anymore. Would this be it for the foursome and see it revert back to the original three? We got our questions answered this week.

They take us to Cathy Kelley outside of Full Sail speaking to the three members of the Undisputed Era. She talks about the rumor that there was a question of who the leader of the group was last week between Cole and Strong, and questions if Strong is still part of the Era.

A commotion goes on behind them, but the Era and Kelley ignore it. Cole says he has no idea where Strong is, the man who cost Cole his match last week against Matt Riddle. He says as far as who the leader of the group is, that has never been in question and that it’s always been him. By this time, more people are rushing into the scene behind them.

Strong emerges from all the commotion behind them and confronts the rest of the group. He tells Cole that he’s right and that they are all stronger together, and that his Riddle problem has been taken care of, and he hands Cole Riddle’s flip flop. Cole is so pleased he takes his own armband off and hands it back to Strong. O’Reilly wants to know what Strong to Riddle did but never got an answer, but the four walk away united once again as O’Reilly tosses the flip flop and simply says, “problem solved.”

Is it really though? Is this is the end of the issues for the Undisputed Era? Or is this just simply a band-aid that won’t be able to keep the group together for much longer? Only time will tell.

Later on in the show, they cut to NXT Champion Johnny Gargano checking on Riddle, and as he walks away an interviewer asks him if we can get an update on Riddle’s condition. Gargano said Riddle would be okay, but that the bro was angry, and the Era “isn’t going to like the Bro when he’s angry.”

Before Gargano can walk away they ask him about the Undisputed Era seemingly being back on the same page. Gargano said he doesn’t care either way and that he’s already talked to William Regal and that it’s going to be him and Cole, one-on-one for the NXT Championship at TakeOver XXV. So we officially have our main event for June 1. It will be interesting to see who leaves TakeOver as NXT Champion.
