High Value Guards

Players costing under $8,333

CJ McCollum (at GS – $8,600): Needs 37.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.75 fantasy points against Golden State. CJ had it going in the first half and then offered nothing in the second half. Much like Lillard, I expect McCollum to come out with his best game of the series in Game 3. The Blazers will certainly need it. Expect a more consistent game out of him in this one.Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Rodney Hood (at GS – $4,800): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17 fantasy points against Golden State. It’s been Curry for the Blazers who has done the heavy lifting with the scoring for the Blazers. But Hood will continue to get his minutes and opportunities. I don’t completely love him in this game but with the series back in Portland, role players should end up playing better. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Seth Curry (at GS – $3,000): Needs 13.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.75 fantasy points against Golden State. Curry will continue to get the minutes and he’s shown that he can step up in this series. He’s a good option as a low-cost captain if you want to go that route. He should continue to play well in this series simply because of his scoring reliability on a team that needs points with Lillard and McCollum not shooting well. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
