High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $8,333

Al-Farouq Aminu (at GS – $4,400): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18 fantasy points against Golden State. You can get on me about suggesting Collins for the last game. I thought he would be playable and the problem is that the Blazers have no real playable bigs in this series. Aminu should see more time than he’s currently getting but I don’t know if the minutes will be there. He’s at a good enough salary if the Blazers go smaller. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Meyers Leonard (at GS – $3,800): Needs 17.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.5 fantasy points against Golden State. As I said prior to Game 1, Kanter can’t reasonably play in this series. I thought it would be Collins who got the extra minutes, but it turned out to be Leonard. So you can roll with Leonard again as he should continue to get decent enough minutes in this series. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Moe Harkless (at GS – $5,000): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 2.8 fantasy points against Golden State. Harkless’ salary has dropped in a big way and I actually love him in this game. I think he’ll be a role player who will step up for the Blazers now that the series is back in Portland. Give him a chance in this game and if he disappoints, you can come back and yell at me. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
