NBA Playoffs 2019: Golden State Warriors vs. Portland Trail Blazers Game 3 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
The Trail Blazers had a chance to win Game 2 on the final possession but came up just short. Here’s how to watch them try and break through in Game 3 against the Warriors.
Down three with the ball, the Trail Blazers had a chance to win Game 2 against the Warriors. But Andre Iguodala smothered Damian Lillard behind the 3-point line, stripping him of the ball as he rose to shoot and, just like that, the Blazers had squandered perhaps their best chance to get a road game in this series.
Portland got tremendous contributions from Mo Harkless, Rodney Hood and Seth Curry, leading by as much as 17 points in the game. But Lillard and CJ McCollum weren’t as efficient as usual and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson caught fire in a huge third quarter, bringing the Warriors back and putting them in position to out-execute Portland down the stretch.
Without Kevin Durant, the Warriors have been playing loose and free, guided once again by the gravity of Curry and Thompson, and Green’s ability to make the right decision at the right time as the defense works to chase the Splash Brothers off the 3-point line. Portland noticeably adjusted by going small and limiting minutes for Zach Collins, Enes Kanter and Meyers Leonard, none of whom broke the 20-minute mark in the game. For Portland to finally break through, they’ll need to shake off the emotional weight of Game 2’s collapse and get everyone moving in the right direction again.
