Draftkings League of Legends – Top NEST Picks

Draftkings League of Legends – The Breakdown
The goal in League of Legends is to knock down your opponents towers and destroying their Nexus. There are different lanes that players play in as different champions. You have top lane, mid lane, bottom lane which has two players in on both teams, one being a support, the other known as the ADC and then you also have a jungler who bounces throughout the map. You merge items and weapons together to make your champion stronger which can give you the upper hand in battles.
While the battle is going on, you can use your team to attack the different elements of a dragon called “Drake” to gain team boosts. There is also a Rift Herald which is the ultimate dragon to take down which gives your team an incredible boost plus the small minions or you can just call them minions from Despicable Me that are dressed up.
Now let’s get into the points system and how it works for your line-up build and then we’ll move on to line building strategy.
Captain: Like all showdown slates, we have the Captain position which earn 1.5x fantasy point values.
Kills: +3 Points | Assist: +2 Points | Death: -1 Points | Creep Score: +0.2 Points | 10+ K/A Bonus: +2 Points ( 10 Kills or 10 Assists in A Single Game)
Teams: You also pick a team to put in your lineup, so here’s the point break down for them:
Turrets: +1 Point | Dragons: +2 Points | Baron: +3 Points | First Blood: +2 Points | Win: +2 Points | Win Under 30 Minutes Bonus: +2 Points
We’ll be covering Thursday’s slate of 3 matches that start at 1:30 a.m. eastern/ 10:30 p.m. pacific time to kick off the NEST tournament.
Draftkings League of Legends – Top NEST Plays
Top – TheShy ($7,000)
We’re heading into a tournament with some new rosters and faces so it will be a more difficult one to dice up and dig through. We know TheShy and what he is capable of doing. Invictus Gaming is coming off of a huge upset to Team Liquid, they’ll be looking to bounce back and quickly on this late night/early match. TheShy is coming off of a disappointing performance with a K/D Ratio of 1.33 while averaging just 9 creeps per minute. He racked up 2 kills with 2 assists but brought 3 deaths with him.
He’s a top priced Top Lane player but if you’re feeling risky, you can go down to ADD who racked up 8 assists in his last match but that was 8 months ago. Who knows what we’ll get with any of these players.
Other Option: ADD ($6,800) | Or go a new face of 705 of Invictus Gaming at $6,800 also)
Jungler – Ning ($7,600)
Honestly, this will be a tough slate with all of these new changes. If Ning gets the roster spot over Carl, then roll with him. Ning had a horrible match-up also in the knockout rounds, averaging just 4 creeps per minute while racking up 6 deaths, an unusual stat for him.
Meteor, of Bilibilli Gaming, helped assist his squad to a 3-0 route in the NEST qualifiers. The salary differences isn’t major either but it’s something to help out when stacking top players elsewhere.
Other Option: Meteor ($7.000)
MID – Kuro ($8,000)
We could have a great opportunity here if Kuro is rolled out in the mid-lane for this match-up. Using either Zoe or LeBlanc, he averages 4 kills per match, 5 assists and just 1 death between the two champions. Kuro can absolutely keep the deaths down which is what we’re always looking for, especially at mid, a lane that can go either way.
If you feel more comfortable playing a player who has recently been in the match spotlight then shoot for Rookie who is also looking to make a comeback from a horrible match 5 days ago in the Knockout round of the MSI tournament.
Other Options: Rookie ($8,400)
ADC – JackeyLove ($9,000)
It’s a chalky Invictus Gaming slate once again, honestly. People will feel more comfortable playing guys who are “fresh” off matches from previous tournaments over players who haven’t logged a professional match in 6-8 months. Invictus Gaming got knocked down badly and JackeyLove wasn’t there to help out. He recorded 4 kills with 5 deaths and no assists. They’ll be looking to improve and improve quickly before June arrives.
Other Option: JinJiao ($8,400)
SUP – Meiko ($4,800)
Meiko could go seriously low owned and I’m there for it. He has averaged 5 or more assists for the champions that he has played as except for one, Fiddlesticks, and that is it. He averaged 2.44 deaths in thee 2019 LPL Spring matches and averaged 8.06 assist. He does exactly what you want a Support lane player to do, not die and rack up assists.
Other Option: Obvious Play is Baolan ($6,400)
Team – Invictus Gaming ($6,000)
If you have the salary, eat the chalk with Invictus Gaming. I believe they’ll bounce back after last week. No matter what roster they roll out, they should be able too.
While writing this, Bililbili Gaming odds went to even and I think they could beat Team We who are favorite at -125.
Other Option: Bilibili Gaming ($5,600 *They are ranked as the underdog but could easily win)
