Fantasy Baseball 2019 May 23 Pitching Streaming Options
By Bill Pivetz
Here are the options for streaming pitchers you should target for your fantasy baseball team in the small slate of games.
If you are looking for a streaming option for the May 23 slate of games, you will have some slim pickings. There are only nine games listed, most of them starting before 4 PM EST. Though, there are enough options to pick a streamer for your fantasy baseball team.
There are a couple of aces on the mound, including Blake Snell and Aaron Nola. Seven of the 18 probable pitchers are owned in over 80 percent of ESPN leagues. The other 11 have ownership percentages under 50 percent.
That is a good thing for those in season-long leagues. Whether the scoring is head-to-head or roto, streaming could help you in the standings and push towards the championship.

Regardless if you need one point or 10, here are my three streaming options for May 23.
Trevor Richards, @DET
While Matthew Boyd is going to get all the hype in this game, Richards should get a few looks too. The Tigers offense is one of the worst in the league, with only one hitter with an average over .260. That hitter is Miguel Cabrera.
Richards has given up 15 earned runs in his last five starts, 26.0 innings. Though, he has two quality starts and 23 strikeouts in that span. Richards is the definition of a streaming option. After this game, feel free to drop him.
Kevin Gausman, @SF
Gausman has been pretty solid for most of the season, despite back-to-back five-run outings. He enters this game with two straight quality starts, 10 strikeouts, four walks and three earned runs.
The Giants are in a similar situation as the Tigers. While some of the Giants hitters have a better average, there isn’t much power. Evan Longoria and Kevin Pillar lead with six home runs each. In the pitcher-friendly confines of Oracle Park, Gausman should have another good game.
Corbin Martin, vs. CWS
The rookie looks to build off his first two MLB starts in this game against the lowly White Sox. Martin pitched just four innings, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks and no strikeouts.
He threw just 38 of 74 pitches for strikes in that game. Lucky for him, the White Sox offense is not as good as Boston’s. Chicago is hitting .209 with 13 runs scored over the last seven days. Whether in a season-long league or in DFS, Martin shouldn’t cost a lot and could give you a decent return.
While the names may not excite you, their matchups and talents could lead to good results. Some of these pitchers may negatively affect some pitching stats, so keep that in mind if you decide to add one of these arms.
