Dallas Wings – Arike Ogunbowale

With Liz Cambage getting sent to the desert, the Wings cast their eye toward the future. Arike Ogunbowale stands as the focal point of that future. With Skylar Diggins-Smith recovering from pregnancy, Ogunbowale has the keys to Dallas’ car.

This year’s fifth overall pick will have the opportunity to grow as the new face of the franchise.

Las Vegas Aces — Liz Cambage

2018 found the Aces at the bottom of the Western Conference’s deck. While the West will again be the tougher side of the league divide, Las Vegas is on the up. Enter Cambage.

Las Vegas then turned into everyone’s hot pick du jour. Pairing her with rookie of the year, A’ja Wilson is a recipe for devastation. Add in Kayla McBride, and you get the No. 1, 3 and 8 scorers in the league from last year on one team.

Cambage put up 23 points and 9.7 boards in 2018, leading the league in scoring while taking the silver medal in rebounds. That feat’s only been accomplished by three players before; Tina Charles in 2016 (finished first in both), Lauren Jackson (2005 and 2007), Chamique Holdsclaw (2002 and 2003).
