2. New York Giants

The story of the New York Giants’ first appearance on Hard Knocks could be the continuation of an epic love story between a veteran general manager and a top quarterback prospect.

Almost everyone thinks the Giants made a mistake selecting Daniel Jones with the sixth pick in April’s draft, but GM Dave Gettleman is not among them.

Gettleman reportedly fell in “full bloom love” with Jones after just a few series at the Senior Bowl, so this summer could see their romance blossom in front of the HBO cameras. Jones also will be learning under veteran quarterback Eli Manning, which could lead to some awkward moments.

It’s also going to be funny to watch how Manning handles his understudy, Jones, who many people feel could play the part of Eli Manning in a movie. This could lead to either an epic bromance or a very awkward feud, and either one would be a win for the viewers.

The focus on Gettleman would also be great because he seems to be a very wacky guy who does things completely against the grain of what logic would dictate.

Much like how John Dorsey received a ton of focus with the Browns’ HBO experience a year ago, Gettleman could be a star for the cameras.

The Giants’ entertainment value did take a bit of a hit with Odell Beckham in Cleveland, but Saquon Barkley’s magnetic personality should help make up for Beckham’s absence.
