Washington football has been the only Pac-12 team to make a College Football Playoff, can Chris Petersen’s team return in 2019?

The 2018 season was another successful one for the Washington Huskies. Washington wrapped up a conference championship and represented the conference in the Rose Bowl against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

For a while, it looked like Ohio State was going to blow out the Pac-12 champs, but the Huskies fought back before ultimately falling 28-23.

With a 10-4 record, the Huskies hoped for more but still had a successful year with another double-digit win season. The 2019 season will be marked with challenges, most notably replacing Jake Browning at quarterback and Myles Gaskin at running back. The four-year starters were the face of the Washington offense but now a new era of Washington football will be ushered in.

Georgia transfer Jacob Eason is expected to take over for the departed Browning under center. The former five-star recruit has big expectations resting on his right shoulder. Defensively, Washington has to replace a defense that lost Taylor Rapp, Byron Murphy, Ben Burr-Kirven and others to the NFL.

Will the Huskies be able to reload on the fly and win the Pac-12? Here’s how the Huskies season could end up turning out based on the upcoming schedule.
