Going through the Georgia football schedule and making predictions about each game as Kirby Smart’s team looks to get back to the College Football Playoff.

If Kirby Smart isn’t careful, the narrative surrounding his tenure with the Georgia Bulldogs is going to take a turn for the negative. Specifically, he might start to earn the label of a guy that can get his team close to winning the big one but just can’t get the job done. The reason: It’s now been two-straight years where that has largely been the case for Smart.

Georgia fell apart in the second half vs. Alabama in the National Championship Game two years ago and last season, the Dawgs had no bark in the Sugar Bowl loss to Texas.

While the Bulldogs must contend with heavy losses at wide receiver and saw the likes of Deandre Baker and D’Andre Walker leave the defense, they have an experienced overall group, led by quarterback Jake Fromm and running back D’Andre Swift.

The hope for Smart and Georgia football fans is they will get over the hump in the 2019 campaign — but will they? Let’s go game-by-game through their regular season slate and see where the Dawgs end up.
