24. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals

Over the first two weeks of the season, Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals came out and threw points on the board with ease. Scoring 34 points both weeks, the team won both games and Dalton had six touchdown throws and one pick.

Then, the team lost to the Carolina Panthers, Dalton threw four interceptions and the Bengals inconsistencies began. They would go on a two-game winning streak after this loss, but they’d go 1-5 with Dalton after that.

Dalton only played in 11 games, but he was on a pace towards one of his better years. He threw 21 touchdowns, had 2,566 yards and 11 interceptions in 2018.

The 31-year old has also been a guy who will throw anywhere from 23-30 touchdowns, hover between 3,500-4,000 yards, complete around 60 percent of his throws and toss around 15 picks a season. He has also won a fair amount of games, going 68-50-2 during his career and winning 10+ games four years in a row.

However, Dalton’s benefited from great weapons and a solid all-around team. Meaning, he isn’t the main reason the Bengals were winning. Not that he isn’t a good quarterback, but he’s not a move the needle, elite level player.

Last year, Pro Football Focus gave Dalton an 81.9 offense rating, which is very good. This demonstrates the highs and lows of his career, and he always seems to even back out.
