2. Geronimo Allison

The Packers thought their 25-year-old wide receiver was headed for a breakout campaign in 2018 before injury limited him to just five games on the season. Even so, the 20 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns he put up last season showed what he’s capable of when he’s healthy.

The key for Allison is to get back into the starting lineup and grab hold of the No. 2 spot on the wide receiver depth chart. He’ll need to battle the likes of Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to get that done. Allison does seem to be the member of that trio with the most upside.

Whoever wins that position battle is going to be in position to have a big year. The Packers are going to throw the ball a lot and the combination of Adams and Jimmy Graham can’t catch every ball Rodgers throws. Allison could be in position to flirt with a 1,000 yard season if he can stay healthy for a full 16-game slate.

At his best, Allison is a player who can really take the top off an opposing secondary. He’s just the sort of receiver who can thrive by extending plays when Rodgers is forced to escape the pocket. If LaFleur’s offense is really going to flourish, they need another wideout to step up. Look for Allison to be that guy if the Packers emerge as contenders.
