NXT comes to Connecticut as the black and yellow brand gears up for their 25th edition of NXT TakeOver.
Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole look to run back their New York classic, Io Shirai is on a path of revenge against NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, the NXT tag titles are on the line in a ladder match, “The Original Bro” takes on “The Innovator Of The Back Breaker” and NXT royalty Tyler Breeze comes home for a match against Velveteen Dream.

Matt Riddle vs Roderick Strong
Matt Riddle looks to continue his crusade against the members of the Undisputed Era as he takes on Roderick Strong. Strong will be looking to prove to his stablemates and Adam Cole that he still has his head in the game and he hasn’t lost his killer instinct.
Street Profits vs The Forgotten Sons vs Oney Lorcan/Danny Burch vs Undisputed Era (Ladder Match)
The vacant NXT Tag Team Championships are up for grabs as the entire NXT tag division looks to climb up and smash the glass ceiling this weekend. The Street Profits and The Forgotten Sons will be making their TakeOver debuts and look to finally rise up to the task of a marquee match. The Undisputed Era and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are no strangers to big matches but unlike Undisputed Era, Lorcan and Burch will be looking to win their first titles in their WWE careers.
Velveteen Dream (c) vs Tyler Breeze
It’s the battle for the spotlight as Velveteen Dream looks to prove himself against the man he’s been compared to for years in Tyler Breeze. Breeze is back in NXT and is looking to knock one of the top dogs on the black and yellow brand This match for the North American title should be quite the experience for the fans.
Shayna Baszler (c) vs Io Shirai
A classic tale of revenge. Io Shirai has set her sights on NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler and is seeking retribution for Baszler’s heinous acts against Shirai’s best friend Kairi Sane. Baszler looks to be a bit rattled by Shirai’s intensity but with her fellow Four Horsewomen stablemates by her side she will for sure have some tricks up her sleeve.
Johnny Gargano (c) vs Adam Cole
In a rematch from TakeOver: New York, Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano look to be headed towards another classic match. Cole has claimed that he has Gargano’s number and he got lucky beating him in New York. Gargano has had to constantly remind Cole that he pinned him not once, but twice in New York and he will have no issue running it back for TakeOver XXV
