9. Natalya vs. Charlotte – NXT Women’s Championship Match: NXT Takeover
The Harts and the Flairs have had a long, storied rivalry in between the ropes. That rivalry would continue at the very first NXT TakeOver event as Charlotte Flair (then billed as just Charlotte) would take on Natalya in the finals of a tournament to decide the new NXT Women’s Champion.

After Paige won the Divas title in her debut on Monday Night Raw, she was forced to vacate the NXT Women’s Championship, which prompted a tournament to crown a new champion. Knowing her work ethic in the ring, Triple H asked Natalya to be part of the tournament, and face off against Flair in the finals, because he trusted her to make the match something extra special. Neither Natalya nor Flair would disappoint.
The match showcased exactly why the Hart and Flair names have been synonymous with some of the best matches in the history of the business. Flair and Natalya would go move for move, hold for hold, in a wrestling clinic.

It was the first time Flair would channel her father Ric by emulating his famous strut, chest chops and classic “Woooo!” to the crowd. The trademark style fit her like a glove and she would ultimately gain the victory and her first NXT Women’s Championship. In a show of respect, with tears in their eyes, the two women hugged each other. Flair has since gone on record to say that her match with Natalya made her career.
