9. Big E
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh FanSided! Don’t you DARE be SOUR! Clap for the No. 9 entry on our countdown and FEEL THE POWER!!!! It’s the former NXT Champion Big E, yes it is!
Wrestling under the full name of Big E Langston in the black and gold brand, Big E was the man to dethrone Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship. This was and remains an impressive feat that unfortunately isn’t talked about nearly enough in 2019 (the match took place in 2013).
Big E, while in NXT, brought back the popular five-count gimmick that was made famous by King Kong Bundy in the 1980s. It helped the big man stand out and establish himself as a dominant monster on the NXT brand in the brand’s infancy at the time.
While Big E has had success on the main roster with a reign as Intercontinental Champion and as a former five-time WWE Tag team Champion as a member of The New Day, it’s unfortunate that he has yet to get the main event push that he so rightfully deserves. If Kofi Kingston finally getting his shot to prove he is a main event talent earlier this year is any indication it might only be a matter of time before Big E steps into a WWE ring to compete for either the Universal or WWE Championship in the near future.
He is certainly deserving, as Big E is the complete package on the microphone and in the ring. He’s a bonafide Superstar and it’s only a matter of time before he ends up being treated as such.
