Terrell Owens throws shade at Donovan McNabb as only he would
The relationship between Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb went sour rather quickly, and Owens has added to it with a healthy helping of shade.
Their lone full season together with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 yielded a Super Bowl berth, but Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb had turmoil fairly quickly and it has lingered for years since.
Owens wound up essentially being sent home by the Eagles in the middle of the 2005 season, so the team made their choice for better or worse. A top-10 all-time producer in catches, yards and receiving touchdowns, Owens finally gained induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, but he notably did not go to the ceremony in Canton, Ohio.
McNabb recently caused a bit of a stir when he suggested he is a Hall of Famer, while specifically citing his numbers are better than those of three-time Super Bowl champion Troy Aikman.
TMZ spotted Owens at Los Angeles International Airport last week, and of course asked him for comment on what McNabb’s assertion he deserves his own bust in the Hall of Fame.
Owens simply said, “Who?”, and thus said it all.
Owens played with a broken leg in Super Bowl XXXIX and had nine receptions for 122 yards, while stories of McNabb “throwing up on the field” during a late-game drive surfaced.
Just last year, a fan lamented Owens’ quick departure from the Eagles and him ultimately landing with the rival Dallas Cowboys. Owens took the invitation to take a shot at McNabb, citing “the QB didn’t want me there, and the QB felt he could win without me.”

An attempt to reach McNabb for a response will surely be made. But Owens has certainly proven he can hold a grudge, and he has now thrown some heavy shade at his former quarterback.
